The Two-Week Test

Imagine that tonight, without notice or a handover, you stop for two weeks. Your phone is off and nobody can ask you anything.

  1. Where does the business still run on my memory?
  2. What do people ask me about repeatedly?
  3. Which leads, tasks or client promises are easiest to lose?
  4. What breaks first when I am away—and what breaks second?
  5. Which part of the business makes me feel most trapped?
  6. If I stopped tonight, what would wobble by Friday?

Write down the first three dependencies. For each, record the recurring outcome at risk, the function where it lives, who currently catches it, the missing information or decision and the consequence when nobody catches it.

Do not solve all three at once. Place them on Version One of the Functional Map, then choose one repeated, valuable and founder-dependent point of friction.

The test is not about whether the company survives. It is about what stalls, strains or survives only because somebody becomes heroic in your place.
